Kreston Shirley builds things, breaks things, hosts things.

Avid tech lover endlessly curious about how the world of technology actually works — from bytes on the wire to players on a server.

Hello, world.
I'm Kreston.

I write software by day and run player-owned servers by night. Same instinct, different game — figure out how it works, make it better for everyone using it.

I grew up taking things apart — Gameboys, PC towers, my parents' router that one time (sorry, Dad). That habit turned into a career: I build web and backend systems, automate the boring parts, and genuinely enjoy debugging at 2am.

Off the clock I run gaming communities and keep the servers humming. It's half sysadmin, half community manager, all fun.
